Lincoln Finds a Perfect Fit with FREY Municipal Software
Lincoln is located in Benton County Missouri which is on the west side of the state. The City is named after Abraham Lincoln, our sixteenth President of the United States.
Sabrina Brown, City Clerk, has shared some fun details about their City and why they chose FREY Municipal Software.
What makes your community unique or special - something only locals would know or appreciate?
Mozarkite is the state rock of Missouri…Lincoln is considered the Mozarkite capital.
Are there any annual events, traditions, or landmarks your town is especially proud of?
- The City of Lincoln owns the Lincoln Municipal Airport. September 13, 2025 (Saturday following Labor Day each year) the City of Lincoln held its 20th Annual Grassroots Fly-In. Pilots fly in from all over the Midwest in bi-planes, Cessnas, Pipers, Bonanzas, even Kitplanes to experience the grass strip, as well as the hospitality of the Town of Lincoln.
- The Mozarkite Society holds a Rock Show every September in Lincoln…celebrating a love for geology, and more specifically, Mozarkite. 2025 marked the 66th anniversary of this Rock Show, which pulls in vendors, collectors and spectators from all over the country,
If someone were visiting for the first time, what’s one place or activity they absolutely shouldn’t miss?
The Lincoln Municipal Airport is home to one of the few remaining grass air strips in the Midwest. The summer sunset in the west, featuring the lush green grass of our airport, is a beautiful backdrop to our area.
What led you to choose FREY Municipal Software for your community’s needs?
We feel blessed to have stumbled onto FMS, via (what I can only assume) was a cold sales call! From the first phone conversation, to on-boarding and conversion, training and day-to-day support, both Kerrie and I felt comfortable, and drawn to the people who represent Frey.
How has FREY’s software made an impact on your daily operations or residents’ experience?
We cannot stress enough how much Frey has changed our workdays here at Lincoln. Our customers are increasingly on board with the user-friendly online access, auto pay, and simplicity of their monthly billing. In-house, Kerrie and I are still in the learning process of year 1, but feel very confident in our decision to make the move to Frey. Key to that is our Support Technician, Johnathon Milleck. Johnathon is responsive, knowledgeable, engaging and respectful.
What would you tell another municipality that’s considering partnering with FREY?
RUN (to Frey), don’t walk! There’s almost never a week goes by that I am not singing the praises of FMS to a sister city.
