What makes your community unique or special - something only locals would know or
Thornville is a small community with a big heart. What makes our village special is the sense of community and the pride residents take in where they live. People come together to support local events, look out for their neighbors, and preserve the traditions that make Thornville feel like home. Though we are a small village, we have a strong community spirit that makes it a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
Are there any annual events, traditions, or landmarks your town is especially proud of?
Thornville is proud of its community traditions, especially our annual Fourth of July parade, the Thornville Lions Club Country Fair and the new "Machine Mania" event hosted by our Police Department. These events bring residents, families, and visitors together and reflect the community spirit that makes our village special. We also take pride in our local history and the people and organizations who keep our traditions alive for future generations.
If someone were visiting for the first time, what’s one place or activity they absolutely shouldn’t miss?
If you're visiting Thornville, we recommend experiencing the July 4th Celebration or the Christmas Parade. They're a wonderful way to experience our small-town atmosphere, meet local residents, and see firsthand how much our community comes together. If you want to get a real feel for Thornville, come visit when the town is celebrating!
