Customer Services and features like Web Services are favorites of Munroe Falls
The City of Munroe Falls, OH, can trace its history back to a log dam that was built in 1817. This dam created the falls. Although the original name of the city was Florence, when the Munroe brothers from Boston purchased land and started a manufacturing company in the area, the name was changed to Munroe Falls.
Munroe Falls is considered a municipality. The city has used BUCS Fund Accounting for over 30 years with CHIPS Payroll System being added in 2006 along with CUBIC Utility Billing in 2008. The city employs 68 and uses CHIPS to manage the payroll end of things. Karen McMahan is the Finance Director with 38 years of experience in the governmental accounting field. Karen has a BS in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Akron.
Karen has been with the city for 7.5 years and Frey Software was already in place when she was hired. Karen told us that she liked CHIPS’s (& CUBIC’s) ability to interface with BUCS. When asked what she liked best about CHIPS, her reply was the Web Services Module. “This allows our employees to self-access their check stubs and W2 forms whenever needed.”
Karen told us that she really likes our great customer support. She feels the support staff has great patience and a ton of expertise to resolve issues quickly. Thanks for the nice words, Karen. We’re glad you are a part of FMS!
