Say Hello to Brian 👋

Brian DeWitt has joined FREY Municipal Software as an Account Executive.

Let's get to know Brian a little better!

What drew you to working at FREY Municipal Software?

"I chose FREY because it checked the boxes I care most about: a company with integrity, stability, and a real commitment to its customers. I love that it’s family owned and has a strong name in the municipal space. Through the interview process, it was obvious this is a team that genuinely cares about its people and its customers, and that’s the environment I want to be part of. I’ve spent my career helping local governments improve the way they serve their communities, so joining FREY felt like a great fit: strong product, strong culture, and a mission that matters."

What part of your role are you most excited to dive into?

"I’m most excited to get in front of Municipalities, learn their goals and pain points, and help them map a clear path forward with FREY’s solutions. I genuinely believe leading a municipality shouldn’t be as hard as it often is. Public service is demanding enough without systems and processes getting in the way. I like helping make the job easier by simplifying workflows, improving visibility, and giving staff tools they can trust day in and day out. I’m also excited to partner closely with implementation and support to ensure customers feel taken care of from day one and for the long term."

What's your go-to comfort meal after a long day?

"Anything smoked or grilled, hands down. A rib-eye or smoked chicken with roasted veggies is hard to beat. If I’m really treating myself, it’s something hearty like braised short ribs or a big bowl of something warm and homemade. Comfort food that feels like a reset."

If you could have dinner with any historical figure (real or fictional), who would it be?

"Elon Musk. I’d love to talk about SpaceX, what it takes to build at that scale, and how he thinks about pushing humanity toward a spacefaring future. To me, his mission feels a lot like the railroads of the late 1800’s, making it cheaper and easier for people to go west and completely reshaping what was possible. SpaceX is doing the same thing for space by driving the cost down and turning something extraordinary into something accessible. If Starship keeps progressing the way it’s designed to, it seems likely we will see point to point travel on Earth within my lifetime, with tickets costing about the same as an airline ticket today. It’s wild to imagine flying to Japan, in space,  for a sushi dinner and being back home the same evening."

We are excited to have Brian join the team and continue to grow our presence across the US with Municipal Entities.
